Brief History
A brief walk down memory lane
Pharmaniaga Solutions Sdn. Bhd. had its humble beginning in 1995 as
the Management Information System (MIS) department of Pharmaniaga
Berhad.
As the healthcare industry in Malaysia grew, so did the MIS department as
it was the force behind the setting up and management of Malaysia's very
first Virtual Private Network (VPN) also known as Pharma* Net to cater for
the smooth running of Pharmaniaga Berhad's operations in supplying
pharmaceuticals and medical supply to over 140 government hospitals and
clinics nationwide. The MIS department was also responsible for the creation
and deployment of an Integrated Hospital Inventory System that linked all
clinics and hospitals to a central purchasing unit and a host of other
applications that makes up a complete Supply Chain Management System to
ensure timely, uninterrupted supply to its clientele.
With the experience harnessed over the years and foreseeing the potential
of Information Technology (IT) solutions in the healthcare industry; an
executive decision was made in 2000 to privatise the MIS department and
with that, a new company was set up to offer its expertise in IT solutions
beyond the Pharmaniaga group of companies.
Today, Pharmaniaga Solutions Sdn. Bhd. a wholly owned subsidiary of
Pharmaniaga Berhad, clad with proven success stories and years of
experience envisions to be the avant-garde Internet solutions provider
of Malaysia as we strive to provide the most comprehensive, practical
and user-friendly e-solutions.
